Neyo
CC-8826, more commonly known as Neyo, was an Advanced Recon Commando within the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He ascended to the rank of Clone Marshal Commander and took command of the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps. Cloned from the genetic template of the human bounty hunter Jango Fett for the singular purpose of warfare, Neyo's personality became notably detached.
As the conflict with the Confederacy of Independent Systems intensified, the Republic Military established a specialized team of droids called D-Squad. WAC-47, Neyo's DUM-series pit droid, was reassigned from the 91st to this new squad under the leadership of Colonel Meebur Gascon. Sometime later, Neyo was present at a Republic strategy conference held on the Valor space station in the Carida system. During this conference, D-Squad, which included Neyo's former droid, successfully repelled a Separatist attack on the station.
In the final days of the Clone Wars, Neyo and his troops found themselves stationed on Saleucami, an Outer Rim world, under the command of Jedi General Stass Allie. While on patrol, he received a direct order from Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith, to carry out Order 66. Compelled by his clone conditioning to obey this secret protocol, Neyo used the laser cannons of his BARC speeder to eliminate the general, adding Allie's name to the growing list of Jedi who perished during the initial phase of the Great Jedi Purge that preceded the rise of the Galactic Empire.
Biography
Early life
During the Clone Wars, Neyo was the moniker of a clone trooper designated CC-8826. Before the galaxy-wide conflict, Neyo was created on the world of Kamino, located outside the main galaxy, as part of a clandestine clone army intended to serve the Galactic Republic. At the start of the Clone Wars in 22 BBY, a conflict between the Republic and the Separatist Alliance, Neyo operated as an Advanced Recon Commando within the Grand Army of the Republic. Subsequently, Neyo became part of the experimental ARC program on Kamino, an initiative designed to provide the Republic with a new, elite fighting force capable of countering the expanding Separatist Droid Army.
During their training, Neyo and his fellow clone cadets started to exhibit individual personalities, a phenomenon encouraged by the program's unique methods. The designers viewed this as a positive development, believing it fostered independent thought and greater expressive freedom compared to standard clones. Despite this, Neyo developed a cold demeanor and was considered one of the most distant and eccentric members of the program, struggling to form bonds with his fellow soldiers. Another clone, Bacara, was also seen as brooding, and the two eventually collaborated on developing and testing tactics using the newly produced BARC speeders. Neyo was among the first hundred to graduate from the ARC program and was granted the military rank of Clone Marshal Commander. Shortly after his promotion, Neyo was appointed as the commanding officer of the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps.
Clone Wars continues
Capture of Adi Gallia
Commander Neyo's initial Jedi General was Adi Gallia, a Jedi Master who had been a long-time member of the Jedi High Council and was regarded as an exceptional leader. Although Gallia typically used a Venator-class Star Destroyer as her flagship, she occasionally changed her mode of transport. On one such occasion, General Grievous, the Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies, launched a surprise assault on her flagship, forcing her to abandon ship. Consequently, Gallia was separated from Commander Neyo and the rest of her troops, allowing Grievous to capture her. Jedi General Plo Koon and his 104th Battalion rescued the survivors and immediately initiated a rescue operation. Plo Koon's fleet attacked Grievous' flagship and freed Gallia.
D-Squad's mission

During the Clone Wars, Neyo had a DUM-series pit droid, designated WAC-47, reporting to him while serving with the corps. Around 20 BBY, Commander Neyo accompanied WAC-47 to the Jedi Temple for a briefing regarding a new mission. WAC-47's hearing impairment caused them to arrive late, interrupting Jedi General Mace Windu's briefing to R2-D2, M5-BZ, QT-KT, U9-C4, and their respective owners. After Colonel Meebur Gascon, the mission leader, arrived, Windu, Neyo, and the others departed, leaving Gascon with his D-Squad.
Later, Neyo attended a strategy conference aboard the Valor space station in the Carida system. Among those present were other clone officers like Clone Marshal Commander Cody and Clone Commander Wolffe, Republic officers including Admirals Wilhuff Tarkin, Barton Coburn, and Wullf Yularen, as well as Jedi officers such as Windu, High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. The purpose of the gathering was to analyze the ongoing war against the Separatists. Recognizing the concentration of high-ranking Republic Military officials, the Separatists plotted to eliminate them using a captured Venator-class Star Destroyer, the Renown, equipped with rhydonium. However, the station, along with Neyo and everyone else on board, was ultimately saved from destruction thanks to the intervention of D-Squad.
Outer Rim Sieges

In 19 BBY, Commander Neyo participated in numerous engagements during the Outer Rim Sieges. Eventually, he and his 91st were placed under the command of Jedi General Oppo Rancisis with the objective of retaking the planet Saleucami, which was under Separatist control. The Siege of Saleucami proved to be a lengthy and complex campaign, but Republic forces eventually secured the world. Following the Separatist defeat, Commander Neyo and the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps remained on Saleucami while the rest of the Republic troops departed. Neyo and his forces continued to serve under Jedi General Stass Allie, who was tasked with patrolling the planet to locate and eliminate any remaining Separatist resistance.
During one patrol, Commander Neyo and one of his clone lieutenants accompanied General Allie on BARC speeders through a battlefield on Saleucami. At this point, both clones received Order 66 directly from Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith, who was publicly known as Sheev Palpatine, the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic. This directive activated the behavioral modification biochips implanted in the clones, compelling them to obey the order and kill all Jedi. Consequently, Commander Neyo and his wingman dropped back behind their Jedi General and opened fire on her speeder, destroying it and instantly killing Stass Allie. The execution of Order 66 marked the beginning of the Great Jedi Purge, and the Republic was subsequently reorganized into the Galactic Empire, with Sidious declaring himself as the Galactic Emperor. Commander Neyo returned to the Republic troop concentration area to leave the planet, and subsequently continued his service within the Imperial Army of the new Galactic Empire.
Personality and traits

Commander Neyo was a human male clone derived from Jango Fett, a renowned bounty hunter who served as the genetic template for the Kaminoan clone army. As such, he inherited Fett's physical attributes, including a height of 1.83 meters, black hair, brown eyes, and tan skin. During the Clone Wars, he sported a facial tattoo written in Aurebesh writing that displayed "CC-8826." Like the rest of the clone army, Neyo was programmed to execute Order 66 upon Darth Sidious's authorization. Having been bred exclusively for combat, Neyo's personality became notably cold and detached.
Skills and abilities
Neyo received training in the ARC program, and as a clone officer, he was proficient in armed and unarmed combat, military strategy, reconnaissance, and speeder piloting. He also possessed strong leadership and obedience skills, and he and his forces excelled at discreetly gathering intelligence on enemy deployments, defenses, and firepower in the field. Neyo was regarded as one of the most seasoned commanders within the Republic Army, and although he was exceptionally loyal, he was unable to defy Order 66.
Equipment
Commander Neyo wore a modified version of the standard Phase II clone trooper armor used by Biker Advanced Recon Commandos (BARC troopers), along with a command belt indicating his status as an ARC trooper. His armor was further adorned with four emblems of the 91st: one on his helmet, one on his chest, and two more on his right bicep and thigh, respectively. At the time of Order 66, he was equipped with a BARC speeder and used its laser cannons to fire upon General Stass Allie.
Behind the scenes
CC-8826 "Neyo" made his first appearance in the film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Similar to all clone troopers in the prequel trilogy, Neyo was depicted using computer-generated imagery. According to Pablo Hidalgo, the inspiration for Neyo's CT-number came from his parents' landline telephone number.
