Mosep Binneed, a Nimbanel male, dedicated his life to working as an accountant for various criminals. During the Galactic Civil War, he could be found in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina located in Mos Eisley during the year of 0 BBY.
In 4 ABY, Binneed found himself within the palace belonging to the crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. It was there that Princess Leia Organa made her entrance, disguised as the bounty hunter Boushh, accompanied by the Wookiee Chewbacca as her captive. This arrival was a component of a larger plan aimed at extracting the smuggler Han Solo from Jabba's control, and soon after Organa's arrival, Jabba and many of his associates met their death above the Great Pit of Carkoon.
By 34 ABY, the Nimbanel accountant had relocated to the planet Cantonica, specifically the city of Canto Bight, where he was employed by a new crime lord known as "Big" Sturg Ganna. Acting under Ganna's instructions, he furnished the Heptooinian gambler Kaljach Sonmi with a sum of eight hundred thousand credits to be utilized at the Canto Casino. Once Sonmi exhausted these funds, Binneed instructed Orisha Okum, another gambler in Ganna's service, to inform the Heptooinian that he was obligated to repay Ganna by the following sunrise.
Despite Sonmi's attempts to recoup his losses, he failed to amass the necessary funds with only three hours remaining until dawn. Consequently, Binneed directed Okum to escort Sonmi to his location in a secluded viewing box at the Canto Bight racetrack, where he commanded one of his Wookiee bodyguards to cast the gambler over the edge of the box, resulting in his death. However, before the Wookiee could carry out this order, Time for Flatcakes, a fathier that Sonmi had acquired, emerged victorious in a race. Witnessing this, Binneed spared the Heptooninian, who subsequently managed to recover the full amount he owed within the subsequent three hours, thus repaying Binneed and Ganna.

Hailing from the planet Nimban, Mosep Binneed was a Nimbanel male who worked as both an accountant and a subordinate for the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure as the Galactic Civil War began. During the year 0 BBY, he spent time in the spaceport of Mos Eisley, specifically within Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, where he observed the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi dispatch the criminals Ponda Baba and Doctor Cornelius Evazan during an altercation. Subsequently, he sat at a table alongside the Snivvian Zutton when the smuggler Han Solo fatally shot the bounty hunter Greedo in another of the cantina's booths.

Following this, Binneed exited the establishment and stood near an X-34 landspeeder as its owner, Luke Skywalker, was in the process of selling it. Shortly thereafter, he was seen walking behind Skywalker and Kenobi as they made their way towards Docking Bay 94.
Four years later, Binneed occupied one of the booths within the throne room of Jabba's Palace on Tatooine during a performance of the song "Jedi Rocks" by the Max Rebo Band for the Hutt and his entourage. After the song's conclusion, Jabba demanded a repeat performance, but he interrupted the second rendition by casting the enslaved Twi'lek dancer Oola into the pit beneath his throne room after she rejected his advances. Binneed remained within the booth, craning his neck to observe as the court surged forward to witness Oola being devoured by Jabba's pet rancor, Pateesa.
Once the spectacle concluded, the court's attention was diverted by blaster fire originating from the throne room's entrance, where Princess Leia Organa of the Alliance to Restore the Republic arrived, disguised as the bounty hunter Boushh. Organa and her Wookiee companion Chewbacca were present to rescue Solo from Jabba's control, and as part of their scheme, she presented Chewbacca in chains to the Hutt, requesting the bounty that the crime lord had placed on the Wookiee's head.
During negotiations regarding the size of the bounty for Chewbacca, Organa activated a thermal detonator as a form of intimidation, causing Binneed and the other occupants of the throne room to duck for cover and cower in fear. Following Jabba's agreement to a compromise, she deactivated the detonator, and the court relaxed as Chewbacca was led away.

Later that evening, Organa was apprehended after liberating Solo, and the court celebrated late into the night. The next morning, Binneed was resting in one of the throne room's booths when Skywalker arrived to attempt negotiations for the release of Solo, Organa, and Chewbacca. Skywalker's negotiations proved unsuccessful, and the Hutt cast him into a pit containing the rancor Pateesa; however, he managed to kill the creature. Jabba then decreed that Skywalker and the other prisoners be transported to the Great Pit of Carkoon for execution. Above the pit, Skywalker and the others freed themselves and succeeded in killing Jabba and many of his courtiers.

By the year 34 ABY, Binneed was employed on the planet Cantonica as an accountant for the crime lord Sturg Ganna in the city of Canto Bight. The Nimbanel extended a loan of eight hundred thousand credits to the Heptooinian gambler Kaljach Sonmi because he and Ganna believed that Sonmi's starship might hold some value; however, when the Heptooinian later became a proposition player at Canto Casino they decided he could be useful as an insider. They subsequently had professional gambler Orisha Okum assess a strategy Sonmi was developing for the game zinbiddle to determine its potential, and her assessment that it might have potential afforded the debtor more time.
After eighteen months, Sonmi depleted his remaining credits on zinbiddle, prompting Binneed to dispatch Okum to inform him that Ganna demanded the return of his money. The gambler had until dawn the following day to repay Binneed the full sum that had been provided to him, or face the consequences. The Heptooinian, who had believed that Binneed was a wealthy eccentric gifting him credits, panicked and attempted to recoup his money through further gambling, joining forces with the three Suertons known as the Lucky Three.
Sonmi performed well initially, but with three hours remaining until dawn, he lost everything when two of the Suertons misinterpreted his instructions and spent all his earnings on purchasing the fathier Time for Flatcakes. Binneed instructed Okum to bring the Heptooinian to him while he awaited with two Wookiee bodyguards in a private box at the Canto Bight racetrack. He then discussed Sonmi's debt with him before ordering one of the Wookiees to throw the gambler to his death over the side of the box.
The debtor was spared only at the last moment when it was announced that Time for Flatcakes had won the race it was participating in. Surprised, Binneed had the Wookiee spare Sonmi and warned the Heptooinian that he still only had three hours to make up the rest of what he owed. Somni left the box and was able to make the money he needed by beating Okum in a game of pazaak, allowing him to pay off his debt to Binneed and Ganna and survive to see another day. Binneed was mentioned in an artist's journal, which was restored, expanded, and displayed at the Graf Archive at some point no earlier than 34 ABY.
Mosep Binneed made his initial appearance in the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and subsequently in the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Annette Jones played the character in A New Hope, while Richard Bonehill portrayed him in Return of the Jedi. The character's name was officially used in canon for the first time in the 2017 short story "The Ride" by John Jackson Miller.
Bineed's entry in Star Wars: Geektionary: The Galaxy from A - Z, a canon reference book published in 2018, states that he died during the Rescue of Han Solo, which occurred in 4 ABY. However, he is shown to be alive in the "The Ride," a short story set in 34 ABY. The Lucasfilm Story Group has yet to resolve this inconsistency.
The name Mosep Binneed originated in Star Wars Legends, with the character's first name initially used by the Star Wars Customizable Card Game in 1996 to identify a different red-haired Nimbanel in A New Hope. This Nimbanel was later re-identified as Tawss Khaa, with the white haired Nimbanel being changed to Mosep by a "Rogues Gallery" article written by Leland Chee and published in Star Wars Insider 130. The character's surname, Binneed, originates in the 2003 Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplement Ultimate Alien Anthology produced by Wizards of the Coast.
